Join the Unstoppable Frankie Picasso this  Tuesday Sept.2 on Mission Unstoppable Radio when my guest is the unstoppable  Josef Cannon, Actor, Activist and Author.  Josef has been featured in such films as Like Mike, Wild Cat, When we Were Young, Malibooty, How not to Love you.  He has appeared on CSI, Las Vegas, Mike Hammer, Sister Sister  and he has written The Best of Both Worlds, Dog Days and Curly Q/s all pilots for Television.  Currently he is in Thailand filming a movie with  Jean Claude Van Damme.  but this is not what makes him so unstoppable.

In October , 1998 Josef’s Irish born ex wife Catherine took their daughter to Ireland for a family visit,  and never came back.  Once Josef  realized the numbers he had been given no longer worked, he began his search for his missing daughter.   It was a futile search until a bit of luck came his way.  He found out that his wife had changed their identity , calling his daughter a new name, a name she took off a tombstone in an Irish Cemetary.This was the the beginning of his 10 year nightmare to bring his daughter  Shelby Cannon home.  Today Shelby is 14 years old and wants to come home to America. She is allowed to visit anywhere in Europe , but has been refused clearance to leave England. Why? Her mother will be charged for kidnapping if she sets foot on US Soil. ‘

It is unbelievable to me that the laws continue to protect a kidnapper when the custodial parent cannot bring his willing daughter home with him.

Refusing to give up hope of finding his daughter Josef  worked tirelessly to have a  State Law passed and named after  his abducted daughter entitled : "Synclair-Cannon Child Abduction Prevention Act of 2002".  Once he found her, , Josef flew from California to Liverpool for more than 6 months to spend ONE HOUR A WEEK - supervised visits with his daughter. I don’t know too many men who would do what Josef has done for his daughter…tune in to this incredible story of a father’s  love
