This is a very thorough document from a solid source. Retired airline pilots know the truth. It was a missile.

	WASHINGTON - Retired admiral Thomas D. Moorer, a 
	former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, 
	called Thursday for new congressional hearings
	into TWA Flight 800.

	Moorer and other retired Navy brass, at a news 
	conference, expressed suspicion over the FBI's 
	18-month investigation of the disaster.

	"All the evidence would point to a missile," 
	Moorer said.

	The retired officers speculated a missile could 
	have come from either a submarine or a buoy device 
	developed by the Navy years ago. "One vital quest-
	ion we haven't attacked is the origin of that 
	streak of light," Moorer said.

		<description>The pieces of the aircraft were brought to the surface and assembled by those who wanted it to look like an explosion in the empty center fuel tank (because that's where the missle entered and did the most damage -- it was the only plausible explanation they could fabricate at the time). During the assembly, steps were taken to pound "incoming" damage to appear to be "outgoing" damage. If I'm not mistaken, one of the investigators resigned when he witnessed the tampering of the pieces. 
 
Also, it's hard for 60 Minutes to do a piece on this subject when the FBI confiscated all the video of the event and never returned it &#038; never made it public. I saw the video the day this happened -- it was shown twice on national news the day it happened. The FBI confiscated those videos that day and they disappeared forever. I know what I saw on that tape -- a missle climbing skyward. 
 
By the way, many people did talk to everyone they could to open up an investigation. Several former military types held a big news conference at the National Press Club and pleaded to open an investigation -- citing all sorts of flaws &#038; inconsistencies, etc. in the original findings. Many of them are still very vocal about it. Do a Google on "Flight 800" and you'll be amazed at what you'll find.

Had 800 been brought down by a missle 12 years ago, someone, somewhere would have talked to 60 Minutes.</description>
